Job Description

The Convention Services Manager Maintains strong client relations and ensure that convention specifications are communicated and executed for a successful meeting experience for the meeting planner and attendees.
Monitors and manage room blocks according to contract utilizing group history reports and information given by clients to maximize hotel revenue, making adjustments as necessary.
Reviews sales contracts as well as other important information, i.e., room block, cut off date, special concessions and attrition clauses and validate with client via turnover letter.
Monitors and enforce program deadline dates and work with clients to release meeting space not needed to maximize hotel revenues.
Produces and distribute convention resume two weeks prior to first day of main sgroup arrival and communicate any changes and updated information to hotel departments.
Distributes BEOs for group and affiliates 10 14 days prior to events.

Requirements

Check it out! To join our team as the Convention Services Manager, you must be able to speak, read, write and understand English. High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Must be knowledgeable in MS Office, ISAC knowledge is a plus. Must have at least two years catering sales and convention services experience. Must have an extensive knowledge of food and beverage products, proper preparation and presentation of food and beverage items. Must have extensive knowledge of meeting room capacities, banquet set-up, audio-visual and any other pertinent details as they relate to function room set-up. In addition, Must be detail oriented, organized and be able to meet specific deadlines.
