Money, Money Money - So Important You Have to Sing It Three Times

Functional Operations and Reporting:
Monthly reconciliation of sales tax payments and the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts related to sales and use tax
Working with store management and our third party processors to resolve discrepancies while elevating issues to both internal and field management
File business licenses for retail store locations
Ensure timely posting entries

Functional Management:
Manages month end close entries to ensure Revenue, expenses and balance sheet items are booked accurately and timely
Proactively provides timely and professional response to internal and external customers regarding cash discrepancies or system issues
Develops internal and/or external partnerships that reduce discrepancies and identify potential risks to the organization

Internal Controls and Policies & Procedures:
Utilizes knowledge of accounting policies and procedures and key internal controls concepts. Has familiarity with corporate policies and procedures and ensures such policies and procedures and controls are in place and working effectively.
Resolves store non-compliance to documented policies and procedures ensuring proper safeguarding of assets

Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance with 1+ years of Accounting experience in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment

Technical: Solid understanding of Accounting fundamentals.

Communication/Language: Strong verbal and written communication skills, including meeting facilitation and presentations. Strong problem-solving skills and drive to make things happen. Ability to understand challenges or underlying concerns, share ideas, and develop effective responses or elevate to higher management. Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a diverse group. Ability to network and utilize internal and external resources. Ability to exercise high degree of professionalism.

Management/Leadership: Ability to support the retail accounting team and the store operations team.

Physical & Technical Environment: Prior experience reconciling balance sheet accounts. Prior experience filing sales & use tax returns. SAP experience a plus.

Other: Conduct business with strong sense of ethics and urgency and possess keen attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications: Proven ability to organize and prioritize work, meet deadlines and work independently. Change management skills desired. Intermediate to advanced level of experience with Microsoft Office applications required. Schedule flexibility is required.
