1 Year of Experience Required
The Cook prepares hot and cold food for patients, cafeteria and catering. Position serves and prepares food on cafeteria line.
Education : High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience : 1 to 3 years cooking experience in an institutional or healthcare setting, preferably in a hospital setting with special or modified diet preparation experience.
Skills & Abilities: Posses a thorough understanding of all kitchen equipment, its use, safety measures and maintenance. Ability to follow written and oral instructions and adhere to the use of standardized recipes.
Physical Requirements :
Sit: Up to 3 hours/day
Stand/Walk: 6-8 hours
Bend/Stoop: Up to 6 hours
Reach: Up to 6 hours
Rep Use of UE/Grasp: Up to 6 hrs
Lift/Push/Pull: 25lbs, over 25# with assistance or equipment
