The purpose of this job is to provide support, analysis of manufacturing performance to include pricing and contracting biodiesel sales, and the VP, Procurement and others as assigned.


Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of information related to other employees, customers, and Renewable Energy Group, Inc. (REG)

Responsible for scheduling and organizing complex activities such as meetings and department activities for the location.

Develop and maintain process flows and procedures that are also SARBOX compliant.

Create and prepare timely, accurate and professional presentations for meetings

Continually understand what the current priorities are and seek clarification when it’s not clear and utilize other resources as necessary to meet goals

Identify new contracting options which align to business and growth needs and assure sufficient margins to support overall growth plans

Enter Purchase Orders in to the J.D. Edwards system

Match invoices with receiving paperwork to process for payment approval

Schedule ingredient loads for delivery to each specific plant

Update commodity markets and contract data in various spreadsheets
Answer plant and vendor questions regarding scheduling issues (i.e. wrong P.O., no BOL, or no COA)

Record receipts against open P.O.’s and track open P.O.’s

Manage all index contracts for proper pricing levels

Manage co-product sales as directed

Manage chemical purchasing needs as directed

Initiate PO’s with procurement for 3 rd party biodiesel purchases

Receive inventory into JDE for 3 rd party biodiesel purchases

Approve vendor invoices

Any and all other job duties as assigned.


Communicate (oral and written) and interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.

Complete understanding of Microsoft Office and can accurately and efficiently utilize Word, Excel and Power Point.

Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and demands.

Be available for daily work and overtime as required.

Willingness to provide personal contact information to customers on an as needed basis for official business purposes

Will perform other duties as assigned

Education Required: 4-year Business (or related degree) or equivalent job experience preferred

Experience Required: 2+ years office experience with account, sales, marketing or procurement background preferred

Skills Required : Ability to use office equipment (computer, calculator, copy machine, and fax machine). Basic math and language skills along with organizational skills needed for completing the essential functions of this job.
