Role Summary:
The Coordinator, Consumer Products Domestic Sales for Universal Partnerships and Licensing (UPL) is responsible for providing support to the VPs of Consumer Products during the pre & post sales process. The coordinator is also responsible for following up on deal execution to make sure the deals flow through the process smoothly. The position reports to the VP of Sales for Consumer Products, Universal Partnerships & Licensing.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Support VPs of Consumer Products Sales by assisting in generating licensing partnerships for studio properties across all categories.
  • Respond to cold call inquires / do cold calls to prep leads for the VPs of Consumer Products.
  • Under supervision of VPs of Consumer Products, follow up and resolve issues in a timely manner to make sure all aspects of the deal execution flow smoothly. This includes managing all day to day activity / flow of deal, once finalized by VPs of Consumer Products, by liaising with licensees, and internal retail, promotions, legal, finance, marketing, creative, product development and other internal studio divisions.
  • Under supervision of VPs of Consumer Products, enter deal memos and work with licensees, legal and finance to expedite contract execution and payments.
  • Prepare and process pitch packets.
  • Travel to assist in pitching, as necessary.
  • Cultivate and manage strong relationships with internal executives and licensees
  • When applicable, liaise with promotions and retail marketing teams to leverage and expand existing opportunities, including assisting in retail concepting and execution.
  • Develop sales materials as needed (decks, one sheets, etc.), in conjunction with marketing and creative.
  • Research target companies and categories.
  • Monitor and research relevant competitive licensing opportunities and trends
  • Maintain and update all status reports: retail footprints, category / retail snapshots
  • Provide general support and working on special projects as assigned.

    Qualifications/Requirements
    Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a sales administration role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to collaborate be creative, resourceful. problem-solve and have follow-through, and work independently.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills

    Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
  • Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
  • Must be willing and able to travel, sometimes on short notice

    Desired Characteristics
  • Entertainment licensing or retail experience at a corporate level strongly preferred
  • This person must have vision, be collaborative, resourceful, self-motivated, a strategic and creative thinker, flexible, professional and a team player
  • This person must also posses strong initiative and perseverance and be adept at multi-tasking
  • Experience in licensing, sales, marketing, or business development strongly desired
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft office, PowerPoint, Excel, Photoshop and Keynote desired
