Develop and manage programs for the recruitment, admission, and enrollment of undergraduate and graduate international students.

Qualifications
Knowledge and skills in communications, marketing, and international business, typically acquired through the completion of a Master’s Degree in a foreign language, international business, or the equivalent, are necessary. Three years of experience working with international students are necessary.

Knowledge of at least one foreign language and international travel is desirable.

Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license is necessary.

Other Desired Qualifications

Essential Duties
Develop and implement worldwide recruitment programs to increase the number of international students who apply for admission. Coordinate and direct international recruitment with other campus activities, working collaboratively with EMU faculty, and staff.

Develop, complete, and submit reports on international recruitment, admissions, and enrollment efforts for the campus community.

Lead efforts to develop, recommend, and implement best practices campuswide for recruiting, admitting, and enrolling international students.

Represent the University overseas and at US embassies and agency visits.

Review and evaluate international documents, including applications, transcripts and I-20s.

Consult with the Assistant Director, Admissions Processing, to determine the best processes for handling international documents.

Serve as the international content expert in the Office of Admissions, working with all areas to ensure accurate understanding of issues, handling of questions and review of documents.

Ensure University compliance with laws and professional guidelines regarding recruitment and admission of international students.

Adhere to any and all NCAA , Mid-American Conference and Eastern Michigan University policies, rules, regulations, and operational procedures.

Perform related departmental duties, as required.

Working Conditions
Work is performed in a typical office environment and includes international travel.
