The primary purpose of this position is to perform administrative and project coordination functions for the Legal Compliance Team.
will be responsible for all administrative activities relating to the operation of the Team.
In addition, the Coordinator will be accountable for assisting with all aspects of implementing the organization’s corporate compliance and ethics programs.
This includes assisting the Team with administration of the following:
training, investigations, notifications and filings, and e-discovery.
Additionally, the Coordinator will be responsible for maintaining various databases that contain legal compliance data and documentation.
This position requires a combination of excellent administrative skills, well-developed problem-solving skills, flexibility, a positive, team-player attitude, and an unwavering commitment to maintaining confidentiality with respect to Legal and Compliance matters.
The Team is comprised of the Senior VP and Compliance Counsel, VP Legal Compliance, AGC Legal Compliance, and Director, Legal Compliance.
The Team handles Legal Compliance matters for all divisions of SPE worldwide.
These matters include but are not limited to compliance with Anti-Bribery, Antitrust, Code of Business Conduct, Conflict of Interest, and Data Protection laws and regulations and internal policies.
Administrative work, including the full range of administrative support activities for the Team, including handling multiple phones and phone lines, calendaring, organizing and maintaining electronic and hard copy files, logging and processing of outside attorney invoices, logging investigative matters, completing purchase requests for supplies, drafting correspondence, meeting coordination, travel arrangements, and expense report processing.
Assisting with administration of legal compliance training; regulatory, litigation, and investigation matters; filings and notifications; e- discovery; creating and maintaining legal compliance databases and shared sites.
Attend continuing education and/or skills development courses as necessary.
Manage special projects as requested.
Associate's degree and 4-6 years work experience required.
Certification/Licenses: Paralegal certification and/or
California Notary Public commission a plus.
Extensive experience in handling administrative duties for multiple individuals simultaneously, each with demanding schedules. Legal department experience is not necessary but demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality regarding legally privileged and/or sensitive matters is required.
o Must be well-organized, detail-oriented, and be able to manage numerous projects and people simultaneously under deadline pressure.

o Strong written and oral communication skills.
