The Mutlimedia Coordinator will help support the work of the Mass Action Department, which integrates KaBOOM! programming to leverage internal resources and external opportunities to inspire action for the cause of play. The Multimedia Coordinator is responsible for planning, editing and producing videos and other visual presentations for a variety of audiences. The Multimedia Coordinator is also responsible for creating and maintaining a video and photo archive for the organization. The person in this position works closely with the organization’s Communications and Marketing team and other cross functional support teams. S/he must work effectively alone, but also be a natural collaborator who prefers being in a creative team environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Design, develop and implement creative, cutting-edge concepts for compelling interactive media; including video, audio, PPT presentations and company website/email communication, etc.

Conceptualizes and executes multimedia presentations; inclusive of storyboarding, graphics design, animation, art, audio production, and video editing & compression.

Compiles content from a variety of sources (photographs, illustrations, text, video, audio) into one fluid presentation.

Ensures continuity in company brand and imagery in all projects.

Part of a fast-moving team required to think on its feet.

Maintains a current awareness of the latest production technology and process trends.

Maintains production resources (edit suite, equipment) in a production-ready state.

Operates video and still cameras as needed.

Maintains organizational photographic and video archive in a way that entire organization can access what they need when they need it.

Ensures necessary resources are in place for projects.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Visual Communications, Interactive Design, Marketing/Advertising or related field, experience in multi-media design a plus.

Exceptional visual communication skills, including a proven ability to use video, audio and other multi-media elements that attract attention and drive social change.

Great story teller who has a strong desire to bring more people into our movement and advance the cause of play.

Excellent interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships with people internally and externally.

Strong listening, creative thinking, and execution skills.

The ability to understand and organize information, and to write about or talk extemporaneously on that information, is essential.

Commitment to the KaBOOM! mission.

An ability to plan and organize well, but also to be flexible in adapting plans and altering direction in response to new or changing circumstances.

Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment; including adherence to deadlines.

Proficient in the Final Cut Pro and iMovie.

Advance working knowledge of Adobe Create Suite (particularly Photoshop).

Willingness to travel an estimated 10% to 15% of the time.
