Position Summary
The National Institute for Civil Discourse at The University of Arizona seeks a Coordinator of Web Programs to develop, design and manage web-based projects. The successful candidate will work closely with the Institute's Communications Director and other team members. This position will promote the Institute's work by managing online outreach using social media, email, petition campaigns, blogs, audio and video content and links to current events. This position will be responsible for creating and managing online efforts to increase the reach and exposure of the Institute and activate the base of supporters. The Coordinator of Web Programs will be flexible in tackling work projects and campaigns, and should be a detail oriented strategist who understands how to create effective messages which will resonate with diverse audiences using all the various online methods. This position is a unique opportunity to work as part of a growing national organization based at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Duties and Responsibilities
Execute clear online campaign strategies to increase the reach of the organization. Create compelling written and visual content for web, blogs, emails and social media sharing. Track and evaluate content to determine usefulness and success at reaching target audiences. Stay up to date on new developments in online media. Create, implement and evaluate online opportunities to build a pipeline of citizens engaged in the political process and the Institute's mission.

Additional Minimum Qualifications
Four (4) years of experience in a professional setting. String knowledge of new and social media, including Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Google+, Drupal, HTML and design graphics. Excellent communication skills. A good writer and detail oriented editor. Ability to use analysis to test impact of campaign tactics. Outcome driven, self starter with the capacity to work both independently and with a team.
Preferred Qualifications
Video and audio editing a plus. Familiar with Final Cut and Adobe Audition. Ability to translate policy issues into straightforward communications. Strong understanding of best practices in online organizing from email writing to landing pages. Experience running online campaigns, petitions, polls, fundraising and blog outreach. Positive attitude.
