Job Summary:
Oversees and directs the activities of personnel engaged in the service and delivery of patient, cafeteria and catering meals. In so doing, assigns work duties to staff members and ensures that quality, safety, sanitation, infection control and security standards are maintained.

Knowledge & Skills Required:
Ability to read, write, speak, comprehend and follow oral and written directions in English
Basic knowledge of cash handling functions
Customer service skills
Full knowledge of food service systems and trayline assembly operation, equipment operation, food preparation tasks, service standards and standards of safety, sanitation, hygiene and infection control
Knowledge of basic diet modification principles as related to health and disease conditions and specific age groups of patient population served

Education & Experience Required:
Approximately two years of progressively more responsible related work experience
High school diploma or equivalent

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration Required:
None

Physical Demands for Essential Functions of the Job:
Bends, squats, lifts, carries, pushes and pulls equipment and/or supplies up to, and over, 60 pounds for up to 40% of work time
Stands and/or walks when performing all duties described (90% of time)
