The Office of Global Outreach and Extended Education is seeking an Online Student Services Coordinator Senior. Counsel and provide distance learning students with a range of services covering admissions, academic counseling and advisement, records and registration, homework and proctoring services, graduation counseling, student outreach programs, and other University student services available; coordinate delivery of student services with appropriate University offices; maintain academic unit student records and coordinate registration activities, grading, enrollment and degree progress; assist with petition applications; interface with faculty, administrators and students regarding grading policies, academic progress and academic policies; evaluate and resolve student inquiries, issues, and ensures appropriate action is taken to the satisfaction of the student, Company, and/or regulatory agencies in compliance with policy, procedures and legal requirements; provide academic counseling for distance learning students; advise on matters of curriculum, course and degree requirements, transfer credits, and graduation counseling and clearance; maintain currency on policies, procedures and regulations pertaining to admissions, registration, transfer credit, course and degree requirements, graduation requirements, petitions and other student services; counsel or advise prospective students on admissions and degree selection process; intervene with university student services as necessary to connect prospective students with the right staff member or department in order to facilitate the application process; assist in the planning and execution of recruitment strategies and programs for Engineering distance learning programs; represents Engineering distance learning programs at University recruiting events; research demographics, plans outreach programs and events, mail campaigns, school visits, receptions and college fairs; support the delivery of online orientation sessions for new students and contributes to the outreach activities through social media websites and other methods of electronic communication; maintain and compile statistical data; prepare reports for internal and external use.

DAYS AND SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM. Some evenings and weekends might be required.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a field appropriate to the area of assignment and five (5) years of related experience; OR, Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Desired Qualifications

Evidence of a Master's degree. Experience: working in an academic environment in college-level advising; collaborating with graduate students and university faculty and staff; customer service. Demonstrated knowledge of: student recruitment and admissions; retention programs; academic policies & procedures; using technology applications (i.e. Microsoft Office, Student Information Systems). Evidence of effective verbal and written communication.
