Coordinates activities and functions within the Center for Advising to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished in accordance with established priorities, time limitations, funding parameters, or other specifications.

Major Responsibilities
Implement all technology-based business processes to ensure uninterrupted and timely workflow of orientation, advising, and enrollment business processes; systems and software include Ellucian Colleague, Camtasia, and Access and SQL databases

Work directly with IT technical support and provide information on Advising Center staff needs; and serve as liaison between Advising Center and IT to communicate needs, changes and ensure the successful implementation of changes.

Research technology solutions to operational challenges.

Develop and schedule work plans for the Center in accordance with specifications, objectives, desired outcomes, and funding limitations

Supervise support and temporary staff providing Center support services. Design and generate regular and ad hoc management reports to support operations, tactical planning, and strategic planning utilizing currently available data sources ( SUNY , IPEDS ), OCC data bases, and record systems.

Provide advice, guidance and support to management level administrators and to others on access, report generation, and interpretation of data; analyze data and provide recommendations

Provide intra- and inter-departmental training and support for access to data resources and use of reporting and documentation tools.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in human services, information technology, or a related field or equivalent work experience with business systems, data collection/tracking/analysis software

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated analytical skills, sound judgment, excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Experience with an enterprise system such as Ellucian Colleague, including e-advising suite.
Experience with database design and maintenance.
Demonstrated experience with systems/software for data collection, storage, and analysis.
Knowledge of College policies and procedures related to academic advising and first-year experiences.
Knowledge of statistical procedures.
Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse staff or student population.
