Expected Starting Salary Range : $41,310.00- $49,056.00

The Coordinator for Student Success creates opportunities to support student learning in and out of the classroom which includes creating/coordinating cohort delivery models, expanding opportunities for prior learning assessment, creating opportunities for non-credit to credit pathways, and exploring/implementing opportunities for supporting our at-risk student population. The Coordinator will facilitate with various learning tools including working with the ACT ENGAGE Toolkit, Power Path, On Course curriculum and Plato by working with administration, faculty, staff and students on the use and development of these tools across all curriculum areas. This position will work with the Associate Dean of Learning Services to develop and implement new learning models including cohort delivery models and expand opportunities for non-credit to credit pathways. Cohorts may include developmental education (including the coordination of the BRIDGE program), Engineering Technology and other occupational areas that may benefit from this delivery model. The Coordinator for Student Success will oversee the day to day operations of the Student Success Center, which includes the management of 4-6 Learning Coaches/Assistants and 1-2 student employees. The Coordinator is responsible for coordinating, researching , and promoting testing; and will maintain the Testing Center’s standards of integrity through effective staff training, communication and testing procedures.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATES and LICENSES
Bachelor’s degree in related area (education, social work, business, liberal studies preferred)
Minimum two years of experience supporting students in a higher education setting
Minimum two years management/supervisory experience
Ability to work collaboratively across employee groups
Customer Service Skills
Ability to create a vision for expanding the Student Success Center and lead staff to fulfill the vision
Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work
Comprehensive computers skills (Microsoft Office, Internet, etc.)
Master’s degree in Higher Education, Business, Liberal Studies, Psychology
Experience working with developmental education students
Two years of experience in budget/fiscal management
Understanding of learning styles
Experience working with a Local Area Network
Experience using database software (e.g. Microsoft Access®)
Experience with desktop publishing software (Microsoft Publisher®)
Directly supervises 4 – 6 supplemental staff and 1- 2 student employees in the Student Success Center. The Coordinator carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
WORK HOURS :
This is a full-time, 12-month position.
