The Department of Teaching, Learning & Leadership at SDSU is looking to fill a twelve-month position as Coordinator of Outreach for the Family Resource Network. This position provides leadership to the Family Resource Network programs and services while promoting the outreach functions of the Department of Teaching, Learning & Leadership, College of Education and Human Sciences, and South Dakota State University. Provide leadership to the Family Resource Network programs and services while promoting the outreach functions of the Department of Teaching, Learning & Leadership, College of Education and Human Sciences, and South Dakota State University.
Earned Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field, minimum of three years of experience in adult education, effective written and oral communication skills, a strong record of working in teams or collaborative groups and evidence of grant writing experience.
Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Development, Child and Family Studies, Counseling or related area, trained and certified in the Program for Infant Toddler Caregivers (WestEd/PITC), experience with managing and coordinating complex multi-dimensional projects, evidence of coordination as well as budget management, and experience with South Dakota Early Childhood and School Age Enrichment programs (CCR&R).

The Department of Teaching, Learning & Leadership has NCATE accredited programs in early childhood education, secondary education, Family and Consumer Sciences Education and Agricultural Education. The department also houses the Fishback Center for Early Childhood Education which houses one toddler laboratory classroom, two preschool classrooms, and one kindergarten room which is a cooperative venture with the Brookings School District.
SDSU is located in Brookings, South Dakota, a community of approximately 22,100 near the east central border of South Dakota on Interstate 29. The city has an excellent K-12 education system, is accessible to major medical facilities, has an active cultural and social environment, and has numerous lakes and parks within driving distance. It is 50 miles north of Sioux Falls, a city of close to 150,000.
