The Coordinator of Student Retention is responsible to the Executive Director of Registration and Records for developing, implementing, and coordinating retention plans for the college. The Coordinator of Student Retention provides services which include student advisement, academic progress review, and development and coordination of retention efforts for new and continuing students. The position is responsible for the formulation, implementation and assessment of a comprehensive retention program that supports the learning, personal development, retention and graduation of Athens Technical College students. The Coordinator of Student Retention collaborates with various Student Affairs units to ensure that students progress forward toward degree fulfillment.

Bachelor's degree and three (3) years' experience in academic advising, retention, student affairs or a similar environment.
Master's degree and experience working with Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), Banner Student Information System, Ellucian Degree Works, and Microsoft Office preferred. Experience working in Student Affairs at the college level, experience working with diverse student populations, and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with diverse constituencies is also preferred.
