Things are getting busy and we need an experienced copy editor to mind our Ps and Qs. The last line of defense before production, you will be responsible for making sure the work is accurate—spelling, grammar, phone numbers, URLs, etc. Version control is key in our industry so knowing how to handle a complex matrix is mandatory.
In addition to editing what others create, there may be several occasions where you’re asked to write some copy yourself. This could include something as simple as creating copy decks from existing projects to updating copy decks based on client feedback. While you won’t be asked or expected to concept new ideas, you may be needed to write/edit copy once a creative direction has been approved.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
Two years editing experience, in a fast-paced agency setting, where a complex version matrix rules the day
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business (or equivalent) preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Exceptional standards for quality and strong attention to detail
Familiar with the AP Stylebook
