We are searching for an exceptional Copywriter to join our team within our Promotional Marketing practice area of G2 USA, Chicago, IL!
The Copywriter writes promotional, print, POS, digital and collateral creative from concept through completion. He or she works hand in hand with an art director to promote the product or service in a manner that will appeal to the target audience and generate a response. Specifically, this role will focus on clients in the CPG category, primarily through heavy digital/shopper marketing needs.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS - Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Build concepts and copy that are on strategy and meet communications objectives
Utilize excellent discretion to help translate the strategic platform and client voice into a believable and persuasive activation mechanism in the marketplace
Partner with colleagues for all aspects of final production of creative projects to which he/she is assigned
Work in a team environment with art director, account management, project management, strategy and production
Participate in developing and executing internal and/or client presentations
Develop copy strategies that are compelling and in-line with brand look and feel
Review final proofs and attend press checks
Manage time and budgets as required
Communicate daily status of all deliverables to Creative Director
Remain current with integrated marketing campaign tactics, design/industry trends and advances in technology
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
5+ years digital/promotional/shopper marketing agency experience required
2+ years experience working on retail, CPG accounts required
Polished presentation skills
Ability to think visually as well as verbally
Ability to develop headlines and copy for multiple mediums
Shows initiative, self starter, demonstrates proactively, and creative problem solver
The imagination to create ideas, words and pictures that will interest consumers and generate the desired action with regard to the product or service
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate the ability to articulate thoughts clearly
Ability to multi-task in a demanding, deadline-driven environment
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
Demonstrates a desire to continually learn and grow
Team player, earning and distributing respect in all interactions
