This position is required to create content for a variety of marketing and prospecting materials. The copywriter must be able to work with professionals across the organization to translate business area objectives into consumer-facing content for print and Web.

60% writing and editing both internal and consumer communication pieces.
25% working with business area professionals and compliance to make sure materials market ready
15% developing strategies for marketing and prospecting collateral

Communication requirements include all manner of marketing collateral printed and digital such as brochures, websites, direct mail, product fact sheets, advertising, etc.

Must be well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Must be open to learning new online project management tools
5 years experience working in-house or a combination of agency/freelance/in-house with experience writing for insurance and/or financial services organizations. Must be able to write attention-getting short copy and informative long copy for both print and Web. Must be comfortable with complicated technical and regulatory language. Must also be able to manage projects throughout the project lifecycle including: participating in kick-off meetings with internal clients, creating drafts, managing edits from clients/legal, and working with designers. Expect tight deadlines and multiple projects at once. Must be well-versed in Word, Powerpoint, Adobe Acrobat, using the Web for research, and adept at using various software tools for project management and time-tracking. The position is for someone who can work offsite so they must have access to email, Internet, and phone.

This professional will receive close supervision, and must be open to regular constructive feedback and commentary. This professional must be comfortable working in a hands-on, team environment where project ownership is shared with the goal of creating the best work possible.
