The Copywriter will work with the creative team to conceive, articulate, and create concepts for interactive media. While this team is primarily focused on large web sites, you may also have opportunities to work on online advertising campaigns, e-mail marketing, viral and other online marketing initiatives. You will work day-to-day with the team Creative Director, Art Director and Content Strategist and report to the Creative Director, Copy. Copywriters must be polished communicators capable of solving problems with original solutions. A keen familiarity with trends in online marketing and advertising and knowledge of the interactive digital space is required.
Collaborating with creative team to determine the conceptual and copy direction of branding and advertising initiatives
Copy editing and finessing client provided copy decks as needed
Working with senior creatives and content strategists to ensure copy tone and style are consistent with brand and with visual style
Working with clients on an as-needed basis to understand pain points and specialized technology
Working from Creative Briefs and under the direction of ACDs to translate high-level concepts into great copy
Demonstrating the Studio's high quality standards across all deliverables
2 + years in an advertising or marketing agency (traditional or interactive) required
A degree or diploma in English, journalism, communications or a related field
An enthusiasm for and basic understanding of Web trends and technologies
A solid understanding of marketing and advertising principles
Exceptional writing skills and attention to detail
Experience handling robust web sites a big plus
Ability to actively contribute to strategic brainstorming & campaign development
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and effectively juggle different writing demands
Understanding of graphic design and an appreciation of the interplay between textual and visual elements
Experience concepting and writing for traditional media including broadcast print and other collateral
Creative portfolio is required for consideration.
