Role and Responsibilities • Primary responsibly is to oversee and manage the activities of the accounting department to ensure the accurate and timely dissemination of financial information, including, but not limited to, internal monthly reporting packages and quarterly and annual financial statements and reports. • Ensure records systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards, and that internal controls over financial reporting are operating effectively at all times. • Manage, train, develop and evaluate the accounting team by creating a positive working environment, being available for ad-hoc questions and supporting the team in performing their responsibilities. • Have a detailed knowledge of key transactions recorded, trends in the business and any other issues.

  • Perform secondary review of all reconciliations, JE ’s, and revenue transactions. • Work with auditors and tax preparers on quarterly reviews and the annual audit. • Bring issues to the attention of the CFO and take responsibility for resolution of items on a timely basis. • Prepare quarterly financial statements and footnote tables for quarterly and annual reports and earnings press releases.
  • Assist with the preparation and reforecasting of annual budgets, and prepare variation analyses on a monthly basis. • Assist in the preparation of presentations to the board of directors and investors. • Assist CFO regarding compliance with local, state and federal tax reporting requirements. • Document changes in accounting policy and accounting policies for new transactions, as applicable.
Perform initial research for discussions with CFO. • Research new disclosure requirements and prepare quarterly accounting update memo on new technical guidance. Update accounting policies for any applicable changes or prepare new technical accounting memos on issues, as necessary. Qualifications, Skillset and Characteristics • Over 8 years of public and corporate accounting • CPA • Strong analysis and problem solving skills, as well as results/goal driven • Ability to multi-task in a visible, fast-paced, team-oriented environment • Effective communication and ability to work with teams at all levels within the company • Detail oriented, well organized, hands-on and ability to function at both detail and conceptual levels • Experience with SEC reporting • Series 27 certification preferred OTC Markets is an equal opportunity employer.
