Medline Industries, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Corporate Event Planner Assistant located in the Mundelein facility. We are seeking a dynamic, hard-working professional with a solid education and a desire to work for a fast-paced, large corporate organization. In addition to exceptional customer relationship skills, you must have a “roll-up your sleeves” attitude.

Challenging responsibilities include:
•Handle all meeting flights
•Handle all hotel reservations for all meetings (Including corporate attendees)
•Track sales rep flight expenses for each meeting. (how much do we spend on flights – what cities do we spend the least amount on flights)
•Receive and break down invoices in excel (categorize meeting expenses - hotel, food, AV, transportation, offsite activitiess, etc). Ensure all meeting expenses are correct and venue did not make a mistake.
•Handle all badges for meetings
•Maintaining our master sales force files and updating them with new hires and fires.
•Assist Event planners with additional task as needed with all the logistics involved in making a successful and flawless event
•Flexible hours (Primarily during meetings – award dinners, early morning set ups, etc)
•Able to Travel
•will be needed on-site to assist with set up and tear down
•Manage skid schedule for events – (dates they need to be placed out, shipped, returned to Medline, and broken down and returned to stock)
•Work registration desks
•Meet weekly with event planners to discuss tasks, issues, and new events that may have fallen on the calendar
•Bring new ideas to the position as you see appropriate
•Assist Manager where necessary - Any other duties that may arise that your manager may ask you to complete.

Requirements for the opportunity include:
•4 year college degree and experience in related field
•“Highly” organized, and contain skills to multi task. Excellent communicator, a keen attention to detail, hard-working, strong customer focus; contain a good sense of project management and problem solving skills, An ability to thrive under pressure; strong team player, with the abilily to relate effectively to a wide range of people.
•Must be flexible with hours and be willing to travel 20%. Events occur in the early mornings, late evenings, and weekends. Must be able to travel to events if need be.
•Must have computer knowledge – Pivot Tables, word, excel, powerpoint, etc
•Great personality/Good sense of humor
•Be able to lift boxes / meeting materials.
