JOB TITLE: CORPORATE RECRUITER (Apparel)

REPORTS TO/TITLE: DIRECTOR OF RECRUITMENT

Location: New York, NY

SUMMARY
Perform Human Resources related duties at the professional level and carry out responsibilities in some of all of the following areas: Recruitment/Staffing, Selection & Retention

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Select, interview, and screen applicants for Entry through Manager levels throughout the company (exempt & non-exempt).
Assist Director of Recruitment in the overall recruitment strategy, process, and in special projects.
Place & interview interns & temporary personnel.
Discuss candidate’s career options/goals and relate them to the features and benefits of the company.
Negotiate and Extend offers
Assist in addressing issues of employee turnover & communicate strategies that increase employee satisfaction.
Confer with management to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties and responsibilities.
Update Weekly Staffing Activity Report
Utilize Internet online recruiting sources to search/identify prospective candidates.
Create employment ads and place print & online employment advertisements as needed.
Establish and maintain relationships with local colleges, vocational schools, and employment agencies.
Travel domestically & locally to coordinate participation in, set up displays, and work at job fairs.
Assist in design of employment collateral, communications, and web updates.
Assist other divisions of PEI in recruiting efforts (searches & job fairs).
Negotiate fees with agencies and other vendors relating to recruitment strategies & objectives.
Ensure all internal recruitment policies and procedures are followed and recommend improvements or changes when needed.
Back-up person to enter all new hire information (N.Y. & Miami) into H.R. systems.
Assist in ordering/placing/interviewing all temporary personnel.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

MUST HAVE APPAREL RECRUITING EXPERIENCE
Possess experience and ability to define hiring needs, use multiple methods to recruit and source candidates and interview candidates for both exempt and non-exempt levels.
Ability to screen applicants/resumes for qualifications & and fit.
Ability to assess candidates knowledge, skills, abilities and other qualifications using several interviewing methods.
Familiar with all local & federal employment laws governing the workplace and employees.
Excellent organizational, verbal, written, presentation and negotiation skills.
General knowledge of total compensation & employee benefits information.
Proficiency with all M.S. Office software including utilizing specific internet job boards & performing candidate searches.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

MUST HAVE APPAREL RECRUITING EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree
Minimum of 5 years recruiting in a high-volume and fast paced environment within a corporate office setting.
