Eight+ years of hospitality related financial management

and accounting experience at both the property level and

corporate supervisory level

  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting required
  • Strong PC skills including Excel, Word and financial
accounting systems

  • Strong organizational, analytical, verbal and written
communication skills.

  • Ability to travel and work overtime as necessary to
complete assigned duties The Corporate Hotel Controller is the senior financial

and accounting person for each Hotel for which he/she

has responsibility. The position is responsible for all

aspects of financial management, financial control,

accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of

assigned hotels. A Corporate Hotel Controller?s

responsibilities include, but are not limited to,

timely, responsive and accurate completion of the

following duties.

1) Coordination of all aspects of Hotel financial

operations and control, accounting and reporting for

assigned Hotels with the responsible Operations

personnel;

2) Understanding and compliance with Hotel level

contractual documents for all assigned Hotels;

3) Timely review of monthly financial statements for

assigned Hotels;

4) Monitoring of Hotel operations, cash flow and

operating forecasts of assigned Hotels;

5) Creation of annual budgets and monthly variance

analysis for assigned Hotels Review and approval of

monthly bank reconciliations and G/L reconciliations for

assigned Hotels;

6) Supervision of assigned Hotels? Directors of Finance;

7) Review, approval and processing of certain

disbursements;

8) Assistance with the establishment, documentation,

maintenance and compliance with Standard Accounting

Policies and Procedures and internal controls for our

finance and accounting operations;

9) Involvement with insurance and property tax

administration of assigned hotel properties;

10) Successful completion of internal and external

financial audits, including coordination of work with

CPA firms and the assigned Corporate Ownership

Controller, as well as delivering Hotel related

information requested by auditors on a timely basis;

11) Preparation of any special reports, statements,

etc., as requested;

12) Other special projects and responsibilities as

assigned.
