Festiva Development Group is now hiring for a Corporate Paralegal for our Asheville Office.
The Corporate Paralegal is responsible for legal communications, registrations, licensing, outside counsel billing, litigation support and legal administrative duties.
Registrations and Licensing:
Process registrations, renewals and amendments for telemarketing and timeshare;
Certificates of Authority applications and renewals;
Business License applications and renewals;
Bond applications and renewals.
Review and code bills from outside counsel and submit for payment;
Track billing for outside counsel.
Litigation Support and Administrative Duties:
Provide litigation support including but not limited to administering settlements, research, discovery and document review;
Administrative support to Legal.
The Corporate Paralegal:
Performs other duties as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the Legal Department.
This position requires a four year college degree and a paralegal degree or certificate.
This position requires at least three years of paralegal experience either within a corporation or law firm. Experience specific to contracts, legal research, litigation and document drafting preferred.
