Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Project Management or related field. Completion of a college-level approved project management curriculum or five years of related experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

Requires a proficient working knowledge of information technology concepts, practices, terminology, and standards, with ability to actively conduct and/or engage in hardware and software related discussions relative to all assigned projects. Includes demonstrated ability to interpret and translate technical and/or or complex concepts into information meaningful to project team members and/or business personnel.

Minimum of three years of project management related experience to include three years experience demonstrating proficiency in planning, managing and implementing projects including developing project scope, goals, work plans, timelines, implementation strategies and measurement processes for assessing progress toward strategic and/or tactical goals and project outcomes.

Minimum of one year experience leading moderate to large operational and/or IT oriented projects. This experience can run concurrently with the three years project management experience.

Demonstrates a good working knowledge and basic understanding of business operations and the supporting technology being used to support the operations.

Ability to organize, lead and motivate assigned project personnel and facilitate development of an effective team-oriented work group required.

Experience with monitoring project related contract terms and /or engaged third party vendors,

Must have strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills and the ability to support the Business Owner with the presentation of business cases and/or other project related matters to Senior Management.

Competently demonstrates presentation and facilitation skills when working with key stakeholders and management including executive management.

Must be able to work proficiently in a fast-paced demanding environment.

Work experience must demonstrate the ability to competently manage multiple projects of moderate size, scope, and complexity concurrently.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills supported by equally strong critical thinking skills required.

Experience working with tools for project scheduling and process flows required; experience with document repository tool preferred .

Leads, plans, and tracks key organizational projects that are moderate to large in size and/or scope and moderate to high in complexity in order to achieve a high success rate for project implementation .

Schedules, leads and facilitates project team meetings maintaining agendas, attendance records and takeaways from the meetings.

Oversees project owner/business area’s effort in gathering and documenting business requirements.

Coordinates tasks and deliverables between internal and external project teams and outside vendors.

Coordinates activities between cross-functional teams to identify challenges, makes recommendations to resolve and ensures resolution implementation.

Anticipates/Identifies risks that threaten project scope or timelines and implements risk mitigation strategies to circumvent and/or resolve.

Effectively manages all lines of communication within the project team; assures up-to-date knowledge of project progress and status for business owner and executive sponsor so informed decisions can be made regarding projects.

Ensures appropriate and timely communication of status changes are made with business owners, executive sponsors and Project Management Office management.

Acts as a liaison among business, technical and other personnel responsible for project tasks. Ability to effectively discuss both technical and business concepts and practices

Utilizes adopted organization processes and procedures to manage all aspects of the project management lifecycle including: initiation, planning, execution and control as well as project closeout to assure continuity and quality among projects.

Translates requirements and tasks associated with the project into a project schedule with an appropriate timeline; maintains the baseline project schedule accurately throughout the life of the project.

Ensures adherence to adopted organization processes and lifecycles to ensure that project business and functional requirements are understood, agreed to, can be traced to measurable project success criteria.

Ensures identified risk and associated mitigation strategies are captured, tracked, and properly documented according to established project practices.

Makes initial determination of current status project indicators; able to present data to justify changes in status.

Manages project-related performance and participation of team members, reviews concerns with PMO management, then addresses individual issues with appropriate manager when required to ensure quality project completion.

With appropriate involvement and support from PMO management, makes decision regarding retention or replacement of project team members when necessary.

Provides roles and responsibilities to significant team members; assures team members understand roles and responsibilities and consistently fulfill identified responsibilities

Represents the Project Management Office in a positive, professional and enthusiastic manner when working with both internal and external clients to build and maintain the respect of the Project Management Office within the organization.

Maintains professional demeanor with team members, business owners and fellow staff; provides confidentiality for discussions regarding projects, position and salary information and other matters that may be discussed in meetings.

Actively pursues personal leadership development to ensure professional growth; consistently demonstrates a high level of quality results and maintains expected productivity objectives.

Accountable for complying with all laws and regulations associated with duties and responsibilities.

The Corporate Project Manager position reports to the Manager, Project Management Office.The Corporate Project Manager is a grade 15.
