Responsible for the evaluation, benchmarking, improvement, design, development and standardization of Chassix plant quality systems. Successful candidates for this position will possess strong leadership, communication and teamwork skills; demonstrate an acute attention to detail, and show strength in researching and analyzing data.
Corporate Quality Engineering Role

- Assist in Plant Scrap and PPM reduction 10%

- Perform Fresh Eye’s Internal TS Audits 10%
- Support plants during External TS Audits 5%
- Assist in developing Corp Quality Standards 5%
Attend all new product launch review meetings and insure high quality PPAP deliverables are provided by the teams. Assist plants in the development of quality systems to achieve TS-16949 and various other customer requirements such as Ford’s Q1 , Chrysler’s EBSC, GM’s QSB+
Participate in audits of new and existing Chassix plants. Will conduct audits, evaluate performance, and give guidance and recommendations.
Monitor Customer’s Portals, and coach/assist plants for prompt follow-up with on-time response and concern closure for optimum rating standings. Will assist customers in resolving high level product plant quality issues causing customer disruptions.
Identify best practices within the plants and develop corporate quality standards that incorporate lessons learned and read across.
•3-5 years’ experience in quality systems, quality engineering and or supplier quality role(s).
• Bachelors of Science in Engineering or related field.
•Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
•Effective reading and writing English skills. Spanish a plus.

• Experience in a foundry or machine shop manufacturing environment is a plus.
•Working knowledge of high volume machining and assembly(Conventional/CNC and Advanced Robotics technology), and aluminum and ductile iron casting processes, TS-16949 and use of APQP tools such as Control Plans, Failure Modes Effect Analysis (FMEA), GD&T, SPC. Willing to maximize Problem solving and Root Cause Analysis skills is a must.
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to effectively work cross-functionally with Product Development, Purchasing and Operations.
•Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) and Minitab.
Normal office environment with no undue exposure to noise, odors, dust, drafts, etc. The job also works in plant conditions with frequent exposure (~70%) to noise, odors, dust, drafts, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc. Overnight travel is required. Amount of travel 100% unless living near one of the chassix plants, then will be in the 50% range. Most travel will be in US: Michigan, Indiana, Tennessee, and Georgia. Some International travel required..
