POSITION SUMMARY:

Drives and provides the highest level of nation-wide talent acquisition activities to assigned operational hiring managers and functions within Premier Research US. Provides high-quality candidates and advances the Premier Research brand within the marketplace and professional communities, while. Performs full lifecycle recruiting and maintains excellent relations with hiring managers, HR business partners, candidates and vendors and anticipates short- and long-term talent acquisition needs.

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Prepares complete and detailed search assignments, ensuring understanding of job responsibilities and business requirements for assigned job openings
  • Develops and maintains relationships with operational leaders, hiring managers, vendors, and other internal team members to create a partnership that yields success, predictable results and credibility
  • Develops and maintains a network of contacts to help identify and source qualified candidates in line with corporate objectives and ongoing business needs
  • Leverages on-line recruiting resources—including job boards, networking and professional association sites, etc.—and applicant tracking system to identify and recruit the best candidates, quickly and cost-effectively
  • Creates and fosters relationships with colleges/universities and diverse professional organizations to attract and recruit alumni and diversity candidates
  • Reviews resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience and knowledge in relation to position requirements
  • Provides complete, accurate, and inspiring information to candidates about the company and position
  • Prescreens/prequalifies candidates. Creates and presents prescreening questions to hiring managers for collaboration and approval
  • Manages and coordinates all communication with candidates
  • Interviews all candidates presented for detailed interviewing by hiring managers, and includes the use of face-to-face behavioral-based interviewing methodologies
  • Manages the scheduling and logistics of all interviews between candidates and hiring managers
  • Organizes, leads and documents appropriate post-interview debrief/feedback with interview teams and candidates
  • Performs reference-checking and analysis on selected candidates and reviews results with hiring managers
  • Extends offers of employment to selected candidates under the direction of the hiring managers and HR business partners
  • Manages the presentation, selection, offer, negotiation, closing, and administrative components involved in full lifecycle recruiting
  • Conducts follow-up talent acquisition quality-improvement surveys with hiring managers and new hires
  • Maintains documentation on candidates, searches, hiring managers interactions, and other talent acquisition activities in ATS to ensure process-compliance
  • Maintains excellent working relations within HR team and works cooperatively with to develop and implement talent acquisition plans and activities in coordination with operational business needs and opportunties
  • Maintains regular communication with assigned operational functions to develop a thorough understanding of the department culture, needs, goals/objectives and business model and uses that understanding to help candidates fully understand the opportunity
  • Participates in the development of ongoing, creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies
  • Develops an effective talent pipeline potentially available for immediate hire in key positions as business development and succession planning needs dictate
  • Stays informed of trends and innovative talent acquisition techniques in order to be competitive in state-of-the-art recruiting practices
  • Leads and actively participates in weekly assigned operational unit recruitment and planning meetings with hiring managers and HR business partners
  • Coordinates activities of contingency search firms and retained search firms for assigned area(s), when and where needed
  • Processes background checks on all applicants through third party
  • Ensures compliance with federal/state laws in all recruiting and hiring practices and master service agreement requirements for assigned client groups
  • Provides progress/staffing reports to management for assigned area(s)
  • Maintains accurate and updated recruitment activity in applicant tracking system
  • Performs additional duties and assignments as requested
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conducts research as needed to support recruiting projects and initiatives, and generates reports to yield particular data for analysis
  • Must be available to perform up to 10% overnight business travel, as required, including representing Premier Research at industry conferences, trade shows, job fairs, etc.
Required Skills EDUCATION/SKILL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Marketing, or related discipline, or equivalent relevant job experience required
  • Minimum of six to eight (6 to 8) years experience in recruiting, or human resources with an expert level of knowledge in all lifecycle recruiting activities including, but not limited to, sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing, legal, job analysis, wage and salary trends, relationship management and candidate due diligence
  • Minimum of four to six (4 to 6) years experience in recruiting, preferably in the CRO, medical device, pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit for a broad range of positions at all levels and in all functional areas of the business
  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge of office automation software required, i.e. Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Must be internet-savvy and experienced in on-line mining of resume databases
  • Demonstrated strong working knowledge of server-based applicant tracking systems, preferably OpenHire or other similar ATS platform
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple, competing assignments in a dynamic environment, with the ability to be extremely flexible and adaptable
  • Strong initiative and drive with the ability to work independently with demonstrated solid judgment and within a collaborative team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, with strong customer-interfacing skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented with strong project management skills
Required Experience
  • Four year degree from accredited college, preferably in a scientific discipline Equivalent: Minimum of two years experience in Corporate Recruiting or Human Resources
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge of a variety of computer programs Microsoft office
  • Minimum of three years experience in personnel recruiting, preferably in the pharmaceutical, Clinical Research or Biotech industry
  • Must be highly organized and detail oriented
