Primary purpose of job:

Food Bank For New York City seeks a dynamic Corporate Relations Coordinator to work in collaboration between the Business Partnerships and Institutional Giving teams to coordinate their foundations, strategic partnerships, employee engagement, and in-kind/food donation programs. The Coordinator will be an excellent team player with a discerning eye for producing high-quality visual presentations, helping to ensure that corporate supporters have a cohesive experience and that all avenues of support are explored.

Principle duties and responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing high quality, compelling proposals and presentations;

  • Assist in preparation for meetings with corporate prospects, corporate supporters, and other key links to the business community;
    ·
  • Maintain an in-depth corporate database via Raiser’s Edge. Work with the Database Administrator to develop and pull reports utilizing Raiser’s Edge fundraising software;
    ·
  • Create and maintain monthly corporate partner reports;
    ·
  • Draft correspondence for communications to corporate partners;
    ·
  • Assist in drafting legal contracts and agreements between Food Bank and corporate partners;
    ·
  • Ensure that proper acknowledgements and visibilities are extended to corporate supporters for sponsorship, donations and other contributions;
    ·
  • Assist in the identification of new opportunities and prospecting development for increased corporate engagement with Food Bank;
    ·
  • Coordinate cause marketing and consumer promotions to inform and support corporate partnerships;
    ·
  • Submit materials to corporate foundation funders, complying with all grant guidelines and deadlines;
    ·
  • Secure vendor participation and/or in-kind donations for fundraising initiatives and other Food Bank events;
    ·
  • Manage Corporate Relations internship program;
    ·
  • Perform special projects and assignments as required by the Senior Manager of Business Partnerships and Senior Director of Institutional Giving.
Qualifications:
  • Raiser's Edge experience strongly preferred; experience with comparable fundraising database required;
    ·
  • B.A. or B.S. Degree preferred;
    ·
  • 1-2 years of professional experience required, preferably in the non-profit sector;
    ·
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and follow through;
    ·
  • Ability to operate with purpose, urgency and accuracy in a fast-paced deadline driven environment;
    ·
  • Excellent strategic thinker and goal orientation; team player;
    ·
  • Track record of building strong relationships with various types of people and the ability to motivate superiors and peers to meet ambitious goals;
    ·
  • Excellent computer skills including knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet and fundraising software;
