Job Description:JOB SUMMARY:
The role of the Corporate VP-Marketing and Sales is to
provide corporate vision and leadership enabling the
organization to achieve strategic marketing, sales, and
underwriting objectives. As a member of the top
management team, the Corporate VP-Marketing & Sales will
work closely with decision makers in other departments
to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support
profitable underwriting, marketing and sales solutions
for all aspects of the insurance group.
This position will also plan, coordinate, direct and
design corporate marketing, sales and und marketing
related initiatives, as well as provide administrative
direction for the operations. The Corporate VP-Marketing
& Sales must be able to perform and enjoy both the
management and individual contributor roles of the
position. Reporting directly to the CEO and President,
this individual will make a significant contribution to
the overall profitability and growth of the Kaufman
Financial Group.

  • Participate and contribute substantively to the
Executive Team with the strategic planning to achieve
profitable growth objectives of the Company.
  • Direct development and implementation of a new
products and programs.
  • Keep current on trends and issues in the insurance
industry, including current product needs, risks and
pricing. And, develop strategies to effectively
communicate trends and changes in the market to the
  • Advise, counsel, and educate executives and management
on the competitive and financial impact of sales,
marketing and underwriting initiatives.
  • Act as an advocate for KFG’s Marketing and Sales
vision via regular written and in-person communication
with the organization’s executives, department heads,
and staff.
  • Establish Marketing and Sales departmental goals,
objectives, operating procedures and performance
measures and ensure adherence to applicable laws and
  • Develop, track, and control the marketing and sales
annual operating budget.
  • Maintain easily understandable processes for defining
and communicating timely sales analytics and metrics.

Candidate must have a minimum of ten years of varied
underwriting, sales and marketing experience in both
Non-Admitted and Admitted specialty markets. Experience
in a multi-line insurance environment would be helpful.
An advanced degree in risk management, marketing or
sales would be helpful.
Candidate should be creative, innovative and dynamic
with leadership qualities necessary to take Kaufman
Financial Group to even higher levels of premium growth
and profitability.
Qualified candidate must have underwriting experience,
proven experience in product development of profitable P
& C products and programs, and experience in management
of sales and marketing staff.

The successful candidate will have:
Demonstrated history of job progression and management
responsibility in the specialty insurance sector
Strong analytical skills and excellent oral and written
communication skills;
Excellent problem solving capability;
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and act
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in
high-pressure environments,
Strong influencing, negotiation and relationship
building skills,
Ability to interface internally and externally with
carriers, brokers, and reinsurers to ensure successful,
high-quality outcomes;
Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and
user-friendly language;
And proven resource and team management and development

  • MBA preferred, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
combination of education and experience
  • Appropriate licensing, CPCU or other industry
designations preferred
