Under direction of the Corrections Industry Supervisor, trains, instructs, and assigns inmate workers in the daily operation of the Mattress operation at Centralia Correctional Industries. Trains inmate workers on the proper operation of all equipment. Maintains inventory of all supplies and raw materials in warehouse. Enforces and maintains safety, security, sanitation, disciplinary measures. Inspects all products for quality control.

Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of high school. Requires three years of specialized Mattress and Sewing Shop experience. Requires extensive knowledge of institutional rules, regulations and requirements for the control of inmate workers. Requires extensive knowledge of the methods, techinques, processes, materials, tools and machinery utilized in the Mattress and Sewing Shop. Requires the ability to lift over 50 lbs.
