The mission of the Department of Corrections is to promote community safety by maintaining a safe and secure environment that encourages positive change and provides quality services that make a difference.
This is the first level of the correctional series. This is an entry-level classification where incumbents are being trained to become Correctional Officers.
This job is a safety sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Gwinnett County Drug and Alcohol Free Workplace.
The Grade for this position is CR213.
- High School Diploma, or G.E.D.; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above;
- Valid Driver’s License from state of residency.
