American National is currently seeking candidates for the position: Correspondent Clerk.

Essential Functions and Duties:
  • Provide proper administration of the policy master on all health insurance business including premium accounting, billing and policy changes in support of American National Insurance Company, American National Life Insurance Company of Texas and Standard Life and Accident Company policyholders and agents
  • Processing payment method and bank account changes including any related correspondence received
  • Request additional information needed to complete billing changes
  • Post premium payments, including lockbox, ACH, and checks received at the Home Office
  • Sort and verify totals for batch and on-demand letters
  • Research unidentified mail and faxes
  • Process district and debit updates on ordinary and debit business
  • Work and file various reports
  • Generate and mail ID cards
  • Respond to Customer Service inquiries
  • Verify and mail refund checks

Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • LOMA and AHIP Courses are helpful
  • Ability to become knowledgeable of departmental procedures, company practices and basic insurance principles
  • Customer service experience is preferred
