Report to Director Pipeline Integrity as Corrosion Engineer. Incumbent will be responsible for implementation of the Company corrosion control program, an integral part of the Company’s Integrity Management Program. . Position will lead other members of the Pipeline Integrity Group to interpret and integrate corrosion data with data sets obtained by other disciplines to quantify and manage all risks associated with pipeline operations. Position will interface with personnel at all levels across the company and multiple regulatory bodies with jurisdiction over pipeline safety. Provide technical support in the areas of pipeline integrity regulations, integrity assessments, risk assessment, prevention / mitigation activities, quality assurance, data collection, data management, data integration, and pipeline integrity project prioritization, planning and management.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with ten years of experience in gas transmission or a related field. Experience desirable in pipeline integrity issues such as cathodic protection, coating systems, corrosion inhibitors, corrosion surveys, pipeline assessment and fitness for service evaluation, risk management, DOT Code requirements and compliance.
The position requires a candidate with Engineering Corrosion experience with excellent oral and written communication skills. Highly developed ability with PC’s and office computer software is required.
Must be a self-starter and self-motivator, ability to perform effectively with minimal supervision. Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
