Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in math, engineering, business, or the sciences.
YEARS OF RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
The position requires five equivalent years of experience in analysis and technical management.
We are seeking candidates with strong analytical skills and background in transportation projects to include complex highway projects. The ability to develop independent estimates and perform risk simulation, assessments and modeling; comprehensive analytical, interpersonal, and presentation skills are required.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to contribute effectively to working groups through verbal and written communication and cooperative working relationships, be proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis in Excel.
Candidate will be working with consultant, contractor and Government agencies to develop cost estimates for Cost-of-Construction projects. Candidate will attend and participate in meetings (technical, kickoff, status, reconciliation and program reviews) and workshops (e.g., risk); develop cost estimates based on the various design phases provided by the Government agency, including total cost for contractor project construction (direct and indirect costs). Knowledge and experience with the different classifications of cost estimates is desirable, including Bid, Design Build, Design Bid Build, Planning, and Rough-Order Magnitude. Other responsibilities include establishing consistent assumptions for construction means and methods as well as ability to develop and document consistent estimating assumptions.
