The Renfrew Center has been a pioneer in the treatment of eating disorders since 1985. As the nation’s first residential eating disorder facility, now with eleven locations throughout the country, Renfrew has helped more than 60,000 women with eating disorders and other behavioral health issues.
Renfrew provides women suffering from anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, eating disorder not otherwise specified (EDNOS) and related mental health problems, with the tools they need to succeed — in recovery and in life. Responsibilities: Facilitates group discussions, community meetings and other therapeutic groups; provides 1:1 contact, individual support and crisis intervention as directed or needed; monitors meal time and documents meal compliance; facilitates the after meal support group; attends required meetings, and completes all required documentation.
Requirements: Please note this is an entry level position. BA/BS in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or similar major; experience with eating disorders strongly preferred or 5 years direct patient care experience or Certification in Addictions Counseling (CAC).
Hours: 36 hours per week. This is a floater position, mostly evenings/weekends. Work hours will be scheduled in advance.
