Assist students and parents with financial aid application requirements. Explain financial aid eligibility. Respond to inquiries and questions to ensure understanding of the financial aid process. Assist with packaging of Spring start and Summer populations. Repackage and counsel students when their enrollment status changes. Provide technical expertise in specific areas to other staff as required.

Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations, familiarity with VCU policies and procedures. Ability to interpret federal, state, and institutional rules and regulations, policies and procedures and to exercise good professional judgment as needed to ensure that appropriate aid resources are directed to all applicants. Ability to interpret University policies regarding application of aid, payment of tuition, housing, and other charges. Must possess good communication skills, computer expertise, and excellent presentation skills. Experience with Banner software preferred. High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent applicable experience or training. Ability to demonstrate customer service excellence is required. Experience with computers in a detail-oriented environment; good mathematical and analytical skills; ability to provide excellent oral and written communication with diverse individuals. Experience working independently and demonstrated initiative. Must be self-motivated and have excellent grammar and writing skills.
