Counts money from table drop boxes/slot currency boxes.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Opens drop boxes from each table game using drop box key and empties contents (including game openers and closers) onto count table where money chips are sorted, bundled and stacked.
Completes the Master Game Report and reports each game’s win/loss.
Turns the counted revenue and Master Game Report over to the director of casino cage operations or cage shift manager.
Counts currency found in slot machine bill acceptor boxes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Ability to count and sort large sums of money and chips in a fast and accurate manner. Strong math and money-handling skills are a necessity. Ability to lift multiple metal drop boxes that may weigh up to 50 lbs. Must possess a high regard for customer service and Team Member relations.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED. Minimum of six months previous cage and/or vault cashier experience preferred, minimum of 1 year experience working with large sums of cash required.
