Responsible for delivery of blood to hospitals, transferring of blood between facilities, transporting specimens and blood donations from hospital or collection sites to the main facility in a timely manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for proper pick-up and delivery of blood products, specimens and miscellaneous materials for drop-off and delivery.
Assists in the preparation of orders.
Properly operates vehicles and reports problems.
Other duties may be assigned.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Florida Driver’s License in good standing.
