This opening is for general consideration for Faculty positions within the Full Sail University Education Department. Course Directors ensure excellence in teaching skills and classroom content, manage instructors and lab personnel to deliver the same excellence in the labs, ensure personal service to students, maintain continuing education as defined in the faculty development plan and design and/or maintain curriculum to ensure industry standards are being met. Introduction to Media Communications and Technologies

The Introduction to Media Communications and Technologies Course provides students with an overview and brief history of the field of media communications. The course surveys the main topics in the field to introduce students to the study of contemporary forms of media communications, as well as enable them to examine a variety of analytical perspectives. Areas of study include a technical analysis of visual mediums, data distribution, music and sound, the production pipeline, economics of media production, the impact of media on individual attitudes, values and behaviors, the role of media professionals, and the impact of new media technologies.

Education/Training

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of four years of related experience and a BachelorÂ’s degree in Media, Communications, Multimedia Design or Film and/or Video Production. The industry experience would include communications, multimedia design and film and/or television production. Candidates applying will be reviewed for various open teaching positions. Depending on the course level, requirements will be varied based on our Accrediting Commission (ACCSC).

Skills Needed

Broad base of knowledge in media, communications, multimedia design and film and/or television production. All faculty positions require excellent oral and written communication skills, passion to encourage learning, being a self-motivated team member, and the ability to help develop curriculum. Teaching positions will require campus and online teaching.
