J.P. Morgan Investment Management is seeking a Creative Project Manager to manage the day-to-day workflow and priorities of the IMA design team. We are seeking a project manager who understands complex project management scenarios, and can help us resolve those scenarios to take us to the next level. This position will report to the Head of Design.
Job responsibilities:
Manage projects from concept through completion interfacing with print production as well as outside resources (presentation specialists, freelancers, consultants, agencies)
· Manage all creative freelancers, and maintain a stable of freelance support that can be accessed if needed
· Ability to become a trusted advisor to our internal clients by clearly understanding their goals and objectives, helping clarify their needs and offering strategic recommendations
· Partner with internal clients to define and realize their communication strategy using exceptional listening and collaboration skills
· Comfortable presenting and interacting with senior marketing and business leaders
· Act as day to day liaison between the designers and internal clients
· Take accurate information from clients, formulating creative briefs
· Problem-solve obstacles to execution of work requests
· Analyze and report departmental stats, ensuring this data is communicated monthly to the Head of Design/Creative Director
· Analyze internal processes and recommend and implement procedural changes to improve team efficiency
· Develop and maintain efficiency tools and sites
· Identify new prospects and interact with existing customers to help increase equity of team’s brand
· Partner and network with other creative leaders across the J.P. Morgan and Chase organizations to share best practices, leverage unique skill sets
· Manage all IMA design requests submitted via an internal database
· Ensure workflow is distributed based on skill set requirements
· Coordinate overall project prioritization and department workflow
· Manage multiple projects and timelines in a quick and efficient manner
Permanent full-time position, based in New York City
Bachelors or Masters in Administration, Marketing or a related field
Understanding of the creative process
7-10 years of project management experience successfully delivering projects on-time, within budget, and in scope
Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to multi task and meet tight deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel as well as understanding of design programs, project management solutions and file sharing programs
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, energetic environment
Highly organized and able to organize others
Strong leadership, interpersonal, negotiation and people management skills
Possess strong personal drive, focus and commitment to excellence
Upbeat, flexible attitude, respectful of others’ time, efforts and evolving needs
Strong preference for candidates with corporate-side experience in Financial Services or agency experience with Financial Services clients
Experience collaborating and consulting directly with corporate clients, sales executives and marketing leaders to help bring the ideas of non-creatives to life
Experience working under tight deadlines while bringing strong attention to detail
Aptitude for learning new technology, and the ability to remain informed of industry developments particularly with regards to creative workflows and implementations of new processes
