Basic Function : The Director, Marketing Communications will be responsible for managing all advertising, corporate branding, and website strategy & execution for the company.

Job Duties (include but not limited to):
Advertising

Co-ordinate end-to-end schedule and delivery of advertising

Manage overall ad budget of approximately $5M.

Optimize ad performance and provide in depth reporting to manage and monitor progress

Orchestrate and prioritize ad demands from a variety of internal constituencies

Work with Product Marketing teams to translate product strategies into advertising strategies

Develop concepts and manage development of advertising with exceptional impact for MicroStrategy’s diverse product groups, working in conjunction with in-house staff and external resources

Review and edit creative projects for clarity, consistency, and quality

Interface and manage external design contractors, agencies and media partners

Corporate Branding

Assume primary responsibility for corporate branding initiatives

Maintain stewardship of corporate brand identity

Work with cross-functional teams to drive customer, prospect and analyst brand awareness, recognition, and preference

Website

Cultivate the company’s website(s) to become world-class, particularly in its effectiveness as a lead generation and market education tool

Own and optimize the customer and prospective customer experience of the company’s website(s)

Work closely with Product Marketing on content generation, maintaining a high level of quality control

Work cross-functionally with other Marketing functions as well as Information Systems, Sales, Technical Support, Channels, and Technology teams to execute successful marketing campaigns

Employ website and lead gen analytics & reporting to drive continuous site improvement and effectiveness

Influence positive market perception of MicroStrategy through the website

Drive efficiencies in systems and processes related to the website

Job Requirements:
BS degree mandatory

8+ years experience in technology marketing required

4+ years of advertising experience required

Experience managing corporate website assets required

Agency experience preferred

Strong collaboration skills required

Strong oral and written communications skills required
