MESA Medical Group, a regional provider of emergency medicine and hospital medicine services, has an immediate opening for a Credentialing Coordinator. At MESA, we provide services to hospitals throughout the region in Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia, and Indiana. This position will be located at our main office in Lexington, Kentucky.

The successful candidate will: coordinate physician and patient care provider credentialing documentation. Works independently and as a valued team member supporting the coordination of all operational aspects of the credentialing program, including organizing, compiling key informational data and executing processes and procedures related to the credentialing, re-credentialing and licensing of the medical staff personnel. Assignments are planned and executed with considerable independence in conformance with established policies, regulations, and laws. Participates in outside organizations who support the credentialing process and programs.

Liaison between the Practitioners, Medical Staff Office and related entities regarding credentialing Work closely with the Medical Staff Office of each hospital to assist them in answering questions and collecting outstanding items for Practitioners in the privileging process.

Coordinate facilitation of hospital re-appointments as requested.
Maintain current credentials for all active providers.
Comply with all HIPAA/JCAHO rules and regulations as needed.
Coordinate, compile, and prepare reports pertaining to existing Practitioners as requested.
Preparation of all correspondence associated with the credentialing process.
Additional duties may be assigned
Bachelors Degree in Business or a related field preferred
Must have credentialing experience and knowledge of payer credentialing, privileging, and accreditation processes. Previous experience in medical group credentialing preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet and Outlook applications
Ability to multi-task and work effectively under pressure while completing tasks within expected deadlines
Self-starter who can perform duties independently
Must possess high level of customer service-oriented skills
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Ability to resolve problems and draw valid conclusions
Must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
