This is a career development position within a business development and risk management environment. This position generally leads to a career in commercial real estate lending, either as a portfolio manager or relationship manager, and will include sales in either position. The Credit Analyst position provides Simply the Best customer service at all times. Detailed Description Analyze financial reports, tax returns, financial projections, sensitivity analyses, and market / industry information. Analyze, review & structure loan requests using sound real estate underwriting fundamentals and standards. Work directly with sales and risk personnel in generating loan approval documents that help ensure and maintain the quality of the Banks real estate loan portfolio. Prepare written evaluation of borrowers financial condition and future outlook, as well as identify strengths and risks associated with our relationship sponsors and guarantors. Identify, analyze and mitigate risks associated with specific real estate transactions, borrowers, segments, or various portfolio dynamics overall. Escalate adverse situations and drive solutions. Review, analyze & report risk elements related specific to real estate (ie: rates, markets, property types, etc). Responsible for third-party report engagements and/or follow-up (ie: appraisals / environmental reports, property condition reports, etc). Responsible for the collection, review, and maintenance of due diligence & customer information. Requires a fundamental understanding of real estate construction financing, to facilitate working with other CRE colleagues thru the process of real estate construction loan underwriting, budget formulation, documentation & closing, as well as construction monitoring, Monitor receipt of financial reporting requirements, analyze financial performance, and test covenant compliance. Work directly with portfolio managers for completion of essential components of overall commercial real estate monitoring, review, critical analysis and reporting. Maintain accuracy of loan and customer information on various systems of record. Participate on CRE customer and CRE prospect calls. May organize the work flow of other colleagues. May facilitate project involvement in the capacity of Project Manager. May be responsible for management, leadership, training & mentoring of other colleagues, including establishing goals & deadlines. Job Requirements
Bachelors Degree - Business Administration or Finance degree preferred 3+ years Commercial Real Estate related financial or banking work experience may be considered
