Farm Credit, the leading lender to Maine’s agricultural, forest products and fishing industries, has an opening for a credit analyst. This position supports the work of a group of commercial loan officers and is responsible for the analysis and documentation of a diversified commercial loan portfolio. Responsibilities include the completion of loan packages; maintaining a follow-up system on reporting requirements and compliance with loan covenants; and updating collateral evaluations. Credit analysts also work on a variety of industry-related research projects and produce internal management reports from the bank’s data base.
Strong analytical capabilities and communication skills are required. The successful candidate will have experience in utilizing spreadsheets and other software in financial analysis. A Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, agricultural economics, or related field is required. Business experience or background in farming, forestry or fishing would be very beneficial.
