Assist Lending Officers in gathering and evaluating credit information on current and prospective customers, preparing written reports of analysis, and preparation of and proper processing of loan documents.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned as well.)
Responsible for credit documentation, computer input, collateral documents, notes, and maintenance of loans prior to and after closing.
Disburse funds in accordance with credit approval and applicable federal and state laws, as well as following bank policy and regulations.
Review pertinent credit and financial information.
Provide administrative and operational support within lending area.
Provide customers with exceptional quality service.
Input financial data on PC-based software to generate financial spreadsheet.
Analyze findings and prepares in written report.
Grade loans for quality.
Review irregular financial information with loan officer.
Assist in collateral review procedures.
May assist in compiling and distributing material for loan committee meetings.
May assist in recording and maintaining minutes of loan committee meetings.
Evaluate credit quality, suggesting loans be upgraded or downgraded based on most recent information.
Compile various reports including monthly problem loan list.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May accompany loan officers on customer calls and collateral inspections.
Assist loan officers on special projects.
Assist others in the department as needed.
Perform other banking duties as required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in Business, Finance, or related field.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Individuals interested in this position must demonstrate working knowledge of personal computer, Word/Excel software programs; typing for accuracy particularly on loan documentation; typing skills to further include ability to produce business letters and memorandums; strong interpersonal communication skills; strong telephone skills; strong customer service skills; good time management and organizational skills.
Ability to read and analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry . Ability to perform spreadsheet analysis.
Ability to apply common sense, understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
