The Credit Card Representative will assist agent banks with bankcard needs and
the needs of their commercial clients by performing and supporting all
operations, inquiries and research pertaining to the maintenance and growth of
the business card program.
The position provides support to our Credit Card Department and customers in the
Provides problem resolution for customer banks via phone, email or fax
regarding business cards, prepaid cards, etc. Answers questions via phone
regarding card limits, reasons for declined transactions, etc. Conducts internet
research to improve problem solving abilities.
Prepare credit card underwriting files and run credit bureau reports, etc.,
for management review and approval for new cardholder accounts.
Prepare set up and printing of business card applications. Ensure that rates
are current and accurate.
Perform research for collections and claims of outstanding card payments,
prepares 5-30 day past due letter for visa business accounts.
Provides administration for closed card accounts. Check reports daily for
lost and stolen cards.
Creates and distributes monthly profit reports for current cardholder
Maintains relationships with many vendors including TCM, Visa, MasterCard to
ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Assists Bank Card Officer with preparation of materials for, and may conduct
comprehensive on-site training to new and current agent banks.
Provides assistance in sales and marketing efforts by analyzing competition
and assembling presentation materials.
Processes retrieval requests, chargebacks, and pre-arbitration cases. Use
knowledge of the settlement process pertaining to sales and chargebacks to guide
bankers with reconciliation.
Prepares program contracts for prospective banks.
Maintains quick reference guide for banks. Assembles training manuals,
agreements and marketing material.
Coordinates card reissuance related to new industry guidelines, such as EMV
Serves as backup for Credit Card Officer and Merchant Representative.
Do verification of input and quality control for merchant services rep input
and verify and sample merchant statements.
Write or update procedures for new account and merchant set up processes.
Images and files signed agreements, card applications, and other unit
