We are currently recruiting for a Credit Representative to establish and support accounts receivable related collections functions in our Lightning Source division of Ingram Content Group. This position manages and maintains a portfolio of approximately 10,000 active Publisher customer or assigned key accounts. Ensures efficiency, accuracy and timely processing of transactions including order release, account receivable collections and reconciliation functions. Communicates effectively with internal/external customers to negotiate and resolve credit issues and facilitate payment of open items or resolve Publisher customer issues. Authorizes allowances or write-offs up to $50.

Essential Duties in this role include:
Provides account management for active Publisher customer or assigned key accounts including daily order release based upon established guidelines

Evaluates customers for credit limits based upon sales history, sales compensation balance, and financial information including bank and trade references, D&B reports, financial statements, etc.

Initiates, drafts and submits credit review recommendations (including reduction of credit limit when warranted) to management for consideration/approval

Assess customer account information to determine if respective credit limits should be increased to support orders as routed for credit review

Contacts customers pro-actively when assigned credit limit exceeds orders, a special order is submitted or when a past due balance prohibits the release of orders, etc.

Places or removes customers from “credit hold” as appropriate

Researches customer issues regarding previous payments, shortage claims, freight discrepancies, credit owed for services and/or respective contract with LSI

Posts credits to Oracle as requested by Client Service and/or Sales Representatives

Evaluates customer records and recommend payment plans based on sales compensation, payment history, length of relationship and reason for arrears

Processes daily manual credit card charges

Contacts and reports upon all customers/accounts with a past due balance of 31+ days for monthly management review(Aged Trial Balance)

Reviews and compiles monthly report of collection activity on all eBook accounts for management review(eBook Report)

Reviews accounts, in conjunction with A/P, on ‘sales compensation hold’ monthly and determine accuracy in reporting or recommend removal from report(Sales Comp Hold Report)

Responds to customers’ calls and emails for any account in the LSI database or LSI website related to Finance

Mails customer statements monthly

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities needed in this role include :

Minimum Education and Experience required:
High school diploma or GED

1 year previous AR and/or collections OR Customer Service experience

1 year experience with communication to/from customers on the telephone

1 year experience creating spreadsheets in MS Excel, including creating basic mathematical formulas and data manipulation

Preferred Education, Experience and Qualifications:
Previous experience working with Oracle system platform

2 years previous AR and/or Collections OR Customer Service experience
