Responsible for managing Acquisition strategy development for one of Barclaycard's US portfolio. This includes working with CRO staff to effectively develop and implement effective strategies. Individual and collective team provides analysis and reports, develop policies and procedures, and supports implementation of programs to manage credit risk in acquisition.

Risk Analysis (80%)

Responsibilities to include approve/decline decisions, line assignment and pricing strategies

Manage the full cycle of analysis starting from understanding the business requirement, data collection, programming, analyzing data, and reporting the results.

Manage or co-ordinate program implementation including developing specifications, implementing, and monitoring the program characteristics.

Make recommendations specific to managing credit risk while managing to the growth, profitability, and compliance objectives of the organization.

Work with internal customers - mainly systems, operations, and marketing -- and/or vendors

Make recommendations specific to managing credit risk while managing to the growth, profitability, and compliance objectives of the organization. Produce reports and analysis on existing programs.

Develop, maintain, and improve program policies and procedures.

Manage the full cycle of analysis starting from understanding the business requirement, data collection, programming, analyzing data, and reporting the results.

Manage or co-ordinate program implementation including developing specifications, implementing, and monitoring the program characteristics.

Work with internal customers - mainly systems, operations, and marketing -- and/or vendors

Compliance (20%)

Ensure compliance of policies and procedures.

Managing projects or process independently that have an impact on the business. Broader policies can be managed with the input and guidance of managers and directors.

Qualifications

4-year college degree in a quantitative discipline required. Masters degree preferred.

5+ years analytical experience within the financial services industry.

Computer literacy/proficiency in data query tools such as SAS, SQL, Oracle, Unix, and MS Office.

Strong analytical, technical and statistical skills with proven ability to process vast amounts of data into meaningful information.

Strong communication skills & ability to work independently.

Project management skills.

Credit card or Sub-Prime consumer loan experience required.

Proven record in problem solving and business innovation.

Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fun and fast-paced environment.

Willingness to travel - not required
