Job Description:Summary:
The Security Analyst will work in a statistical role performing reviews and analysis of relevant security information which is generated from Ship Security Incident Reports and relevant security data bases. The Security Analyst will provide a timely detailed analysis of security incidents committed onboard the twenty four vessels that comprise the Carnival Cruise Lines fleet to include various shore side interests. The data obtained will be applied to different analysis programs and methods to determine and understand security trends occurring on a specific ship or fleet wide. This data will also be reviewed to reveal developing patterns or trends with respect to date, time, and location of reported security incidents.

The Security Analyst will coordinate and liaise with shore side and shipboard security officials to obtain the needed information in order to develop maps, graphs, and spreadsheets to track particular trends then distribute the required information to Security Services management. Once a pattern or trend is recognized; their findings will be used to assess security and business concerns. The data obtained, along with the Security Analysts conclusions, will be used to proactively deter or prevent future security incidents from occurring and ensure proper security coverage is provided to a specific area of concern.

The information provided and security measures implemented, as a result of the analysis of the data obtained, will be used to ensure a positive sailing experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:
  • The Security Analyst position is built on the model of planning, collection, analysis, dissemination, and reporting.
  • Must be familiar with analysis fundamentals and methods, employing a multiple analysis approach utilizing tactical, collection / reporting, and strategic philosophies, as well as crime analysis methodologies.
  • Generate reports based on their research therefore they must be proficient in technical writing, verbal communication, problem solving and computer skills. A Security Analyst must have the ability to think logically, strategically, and to formulate conclusions based on proven facts and complex data.
  • Maintain confidentiality with respect to the data obtained and the dissemination of the work product.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor Degree in related topic preferred
  • Five years criminal analysis experience in a law enforcement environment preferred
  • Conduct in-depth studies using analytical techniques to assess present and future trends
  • Develop and/or establish methodologies to solve analytical problems
  • Provide authoritative advice and guidance in the interpretation and resolution of security data
  • Present findings and recommendations based on research and analysis
  • Successfully complete criminal background check and drug urinalysis test
