GTI Crisis Management Manager is responsible for the ability and preparedness of GTI to counter the adverse effect of a crisis either as it occurs or after it occurs.
This role will focus to reduce the impact of a crisis and enable resumption of normal function as soon as possible via planning, testing and response to any incident (accident or natural disaster).
In addition, the role of crisis manager focuses on designing & testing protocols responding to various situations and how we can improve the playbooks & response actions.
GTI Crisis Management Manager will partner with all JPMC LOB’s to review and support any crisis management procedures & testing to ensure our response is complementary to any Line of Business Continuity Plans & Recovery Time Objectives.
As the JPMC operating environment becomes more complicated, the Crisis Management Manager will liaise with the Global Business Continuity team, LOB Business Teams and GTI Service Owners to strategize and develop plans detailing how to deal with different and unexpected events as they occur.
In line with the Crisis Management; this individual would be involved in the design, development and perform testing of disaster-preparedness schemes, including key partnership LOB actions to allow GTI to plan to the best of our ability.
The most important part of the crisis management job is actually taking the make or break decisions required when a crisis strikes either impacting GTI, and LOB or the firm overall.
The crisis manager is the only one whose decision will matter during a crisis.
This individual will need to establish a clear chain of command that everyone in GTI will need to be aware of and respect.
The goal will be to develop a faster decision making and faster execution of the decisions.
Responsible for GTI response to any major accident or natural disaster, representing GTI technology & people.
Respond and support any accident or natural disaster requiring GTI technology or people to respond for workaround and/or recovery.
Participate in any SIMT, RCMT or Global Business Resiliency planning or tests.
Maintain oversight of all issues directly arising out of the Global Critical Site Testing program and ensure their timely resolution, in line with Global Resiliency standards.
Maintain oversight of all major initiatives likely to adversely impact JPMC's resiliency/recoverability and or our ability to test and therefore, participate in said resiliency/recoverability.
Minimum of 5 years experience working in a Business Continuity Planning/Disaster Recovery related role.
Excellent Program and Project Planning skills.
Good knowledge and understanding of the Corporate IT Control policies.
In-depth experience in resiliency testing and technical infrastructure.
Proven ability to partner with all levels within an organization.
Open attitude towards sharing ideas and knowledge, with a positive approach to sharing information with the entire team.
Proactive approach to problem solving and taking ownership of issues following through to resolution.
